Four new additions to the program, including Datarock and Louisiana Avenue

Today, Moldejazz presents four new artists for this year’s festival program: Datarock, Magnus Berg, little Caesar, and Louisiana Avenue.

At the same time, the programs for Alexandraparken and Romsdal Museum are now complete — and audiences can also look forward to an additional concert in Alexandraparken.

Datarock

Datarock is coming to Moldejazz to celebrate the 20th anniversary of a debut album that long ago secured its place in Norwegian pop history — and that still sets dance floors around the world on fire.

Alexandraparken (18+) 595,- fees incl.

19:00 Dørene åpner
21:00 Magnus Berg
23:00 Datarock

Welcome to an intense, sweaty, red, groovy, and danceable night in Alexandraparken with pop-icon anniversary act Datarock and blues Spellemannpris winner Magnus Berg!

When DATAROCK DATAROCK was released in 2005, the band captured the spirit of the times with surgical precision: red tracksuits, razor-sharp hooks, irresistible energy, and songs like Fa-Fa-Fa and Computer Camp Love. The album took the band from Bergen to major festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Summer Sonic, and Reading and Leeds Festivals, while their music found its way into everything from FIFA, The Sims, and Need for Speed to global campaigns for Apple, Google, Samsung, and Coca-Cola.

Since then, Datarock has continued to expand its colorful universe through albums, EPs, remixes, symphonic collaborations, and critically acclaimed releases — always with the same distinctive blend of indie, electronica, funk, pop, and an uncompromising dedication to celebration.

When Datarock takes over Alexandraparken on Friday, July 17 at 11:00 PM, it will be both an anniversary celebration and a full-scale career-spanning party. Expect classics, surprises, and a concert guaranteed to send the Moldejazz night into a red-hot, sweaty, dance-fueled state of ecstasy.

Concerts in our main program typically last between 60 to 90 minutes.

Louisiana Avenue

The phenomenon is back!

Alexandraparken (18+) 595,- fees incl.

18:00 Doors open
19:00 GiddyGang & Vuyo
21:00 Carrtoons
23:00 Louisiana Avenue

Welcome to a party night including three concerts on one single ticket, with GiddyGang & Vuyo, CARRTOONS, and Louisiana Avenue!

Since 2019, the party band with a capital P has captivated audiences at Moldejazz several times with their unstoppable energy and explosive stage presence!

“Sweden’s best live band” (LIRA 2019) holds a unique place on the Nordic music scene. As a tribute to one of the world’s greatest carnivals, Louisiana Avenue invites audiences into a colorful party where absolutely anything can happen! And during Moldejazz, the band will also premiere brand-new music.

The group draws from New Orleans’ bubbling melting pot of incredible music, embracing a rich mix of soul, jazz, funk, blues, and boogie-woogie — often seamlessly woven together.
Alongside their vibrant stage outfits, seemingly straight out of a Mardi Gras parade, the carnival atmosphere is amplified by inflatable unicorns, plastic bead necklaces, umbrellas, and several flamboyant costume changes. In this extraordinary New Orleans gumbo, the band creates a celebration where everyone is invited!

Romsdalsmuseet 895,- fees incl.

17:00 Dørene åpner
18:00 Bargee
19:30 Lille Caesar
21:15 Bausa

In record time, little Caesar has established himself as one of Norway’s most sought-after new artists — with a rare combination of broad appeal, commercial momentum, and artistic depth. He creates songs that connect instantly, yet stay with you long after the concert is over.

With sold-out shows at both Parkteatret and Rockefeller Music Hall, he has proven that he is not only a streaming favorite, but also a performer with remarkable live presence. Through his distinctive voice and intense stage charisma, little Caesar can make an entire audience hold its breath one moment — before erupting into massive singalongs the next.

His debut album Lenge Leve Livet was released in spring 2025 and cemented his position as one of the strongest new voices in Norwegian music. Every single entered the charts immediately, while “Hvem kan seile foruten vind” became a huge audience favorite. At the same time, he has managed to retain something rare amid his rapid breakthrough: a genuine emotional core and authenticity in his expression.

His music moves seamlessly between vulnerability and grandeur — between love, uncertainty, self-reflection, and songs that unite thousands of people in collective singalongs. With major successes on NRK P3, festival appearances across the country, and a rapidly growing audience, little Caesar is clearly an artist on a powerful upward trajectory.

When he takes the stage at Romsdalsmuseet on Friday, July 17, alongside the already announced Bargee and Bausa, everything is in place for one of the festival’s standout summer nights.

Magnus Berg

- a raw live show — tight, loud, and sweaty in all the right ways

Alexandraparken (18+) 595,- fees incl.

19:00 Dørene åpner
21:00 Magnus Berg
23:00 Datarock

Magnus Berg recently won a Spellemannprisen in the Blues category, with a musical expression rooted in soul-driven rock, standout guitar work, and powerful vocals.
Known for his electrifying live performances, he has captivated audiences internationally with a sound that feels both classic in spirit and modern in execution.

Magnus delivers a style that nods to music’s golden eras without remaining stuck in the past — timeless soul rock and funk with sharp contemporary edges, fresh beats, and a forward-driving groove. All of it comes together in the band’s own unmistakable sound. The current live production (and the Electric Sugar era) draws inspiration from London 1967, New Orleans 1970, Los Angeles 1973, and Oslo 1999/2025 — a time-travel ride where vintage tones meet a fearless modern attitude.

Magnus creates music to connect — authentic, energetic, and emotionally charged. His vision is to preserve the roots while leaving the dust behind: modern soul rock packed with funk and momentum. He plans to release four new EPs throughout 2026, and we already know this will be a blazing performance in Alexandraparken. It will be nearly impossible not to get swept away by the energy.

We can only quote Steven Van Zandt:
“His playing is fantastic, just kick-ass.”

Joining him on stage are Ola Øverby (drums), Leo Geller (bass), and Jørgen Kasbo (second guitar) — widely regarded as some of Oslo’s heaviest-hitting musicians.
The result is simple: a raw live show — tight, loud, and sweaty in all the right ways.
