Anatole Muster
The accordion phenomenon that breaks down genre boundaries – and points to where modern jazz may be heading
At just 23 years old, Swiss producer and accordion virtuoso Anatole Muster has already made waves internationally. His distinctive approach to modern jazz was quickly recognized by Jamie Cullum on BBC Radio 2, leading to collaborations with genre-defying artists such as Tennyson, Kiefer, and Louis Cole.
In 2024, he released his debut album Wonderful Now, a work in which he effortlessly navigates jazz, hyperpop, emotional dance, and trap – always with improvisation at its musical core. His accordion voice is seamlessly woven into the soundscape, giving the music an electric and unmistakable signature. The album also marks his debut as a vocalist, adding a deeply personal and vulnerable dimension to his sound.
Anatole oversees the entire creative process himself – from production to mixing and release – and collaborates with boundary-pushing musicians both within and beyond the jazz scene. In April 2025, he followed up with Hopecore, an album that garnered significant international attention and cemented his reputation as one of the most innovative young voices in modern jazz.
When Anatole Muster performs at Moldejazz 2026, audiences can expect a concert defined by virtuosity, warmth, modern rhythms, and limitless curiosity.
