John Legend - An Evening of Songs & Stories

John Legend is an EGOT-winning, critically acclaimed and multi-platinum artist and producer. He has received 13 Grammy® Awards, one Academy Award®, one Golden Globe®, one Tony® Award and four Emmy® Awards, and is among the very few members of the exclusive EGOT club. Throughout his career, Legend has established himself as a creative force across genres and formats – from recording studios and concert stages to film, television and Broadway.

Since his breakthrough with the debut Get Lifted (2004), Legend has released ten studio albums, including Once Again, Evolver, Love in the Future, Darkness and Light and LEGEND. In 2024, he released My Favorite Dream, further confirming his position as an artist in constant evolution.

Legend’s artistry extends well beyond music. In 2018, he delivered a critically acclaimed performance as Jesus in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, earning an Emmy® nomination as an actor and an Emmy® Award as a producer. He has also been a prominent coach on The Voice across multiple seasons and is set to return.

As a producer and storyteller, Legend is the co-founder of Get Lifted Film Co., which has produced numerous award-winning projects for platforms including HBO, Netflix and Paramount+. Alongside his artistic work, he is a dedicated advocate for social justice through the organization FREEAMERICA.

Artistic Director Magnus Lunay says:
“John Legend is a perfect example of how Moldejazz brings together artistic quality, contemporary relevance and broad audience appeal. As one of the greatest international artists of our time, he represents a rare combination of artistic depth and widespread impact. We are incredibly proud to welcome an artist of this calibre – an outstanding musician, songwriter and performer. This is not about genre, but about quality, history and relevance, and it reflects Moldejazz’s vision of jazz as an open, living and inclusive art form. It also appears that this will be John Legend’s only concert in Norway this summer, making the experience in Molde truly unique.”

With John Legend on the bill, Moldejazz 2026 promises a concert experience of international stature.

SKAAR

SKAAR unites fragility and strength as she opens Thursday at the museum

Raised on Norway’s dramatic west coast, on the island of Stord, SKAAR has established herself as one of the strongest pop and indie voices of her generation. Her music carries the landscape she comes from—sweeping, vulnerable, and powerful all at once.

She broke through in 2018 with the single Higher Ground, and has since amassed millions of streams, critical acclaim, and a steadily growing fan base. Her songs have made their way onto the charts and into international TV and film productions, including the Home for Christmas on Netflix.
SKAAR is also a highly regarded songwriter. At the Spellemannprisen, she was named Songwriter of the Year—recognition of her precise pen and her ability to articulate emotions that resonate both broadly and deeply.
Her musical expression ranges from intimate and understated to grand and explosive—always carried by a voice that is both delicate and powerful. She combines raw honesty with melodic strength, creating concerts that both move and uplift.

At Moldejazz 2026, audiences will experience SKAAR in a very special setting as she opens the grand summer evening at Romsdalsmuseet on July 16—before John Legend takes the stage.

Come early. This will be a night to remember.
