Volunteers

Now you can apply to be a volunteer at Moldejazz!

Moldejazz started in 1961 as a small weekend-festival and has since then grown to become a large festival. From our day-to-day administration of approximately six people, we employ close to 800 people during the festival week.

Being a volunteer during Moldejazz is a lovely combination of good musical experiences, new friendships and – at times – hard work in a hectic but inspiring setting. We welcome prominent international and national artists, and as many as 80.000 to 100.000 people visit the town of Molde during the week. With this much going on, we are highly dependent on the tremendous efforts our volunteers put in. However, despite the number of work-hours, every one of you should also find time to enjoy the festival.

What's in it for you?
Fantastic musical experiences
Access to the festival "Inn" (Kroa) for volunteers and artists
New friendships and larger networks of contacts
Festival production experience
Accreditation (gives access to all our events - if available capacity)
T-shirt
1 free ticket
One lunch at Hjertøya in beautiful and extremely pleasant surroundings
Nice prices on food and effects
Necessary training
Closing party on Sunday after the end of the festival
All volunteers are insured through Moldejazz
Certificate can be obtained by contacting your committee leader

What does Moldejazz expect of you?
As a volunteer, you represent Moldejazz when interacting with artists, sponsors, press, audiences and the public. The festival is renowned for being one of the most intimate and friendly festivals in the world and this is the reputation that you will contribute to maintaining. We expect you to behave as a good representative and that you leave your mark on the festival in a positive manner. With a crew this large, it is very important that everyone adheres to their work instructions and show up to assigned shifts. Even if this is unpaid, volunteer work, we ask that you respect your head of committee/supervisor, as you would in a regular job.
