Ten new program posts, including seven at Alexandraparken!

Dirty Loops, Thee Sacred Souls, Ida Nielsen & The Funkbots, Blåsemafian, Marthe Lea Band, Atari, Araya Heep, Hans P. Kjorstad & Ernst Reijseger, Ytre Suløens Jass-ensemble & Yeisy Rojas!

In an artist release featuring 10 bookings, Moldejazz now unveils the majority of the program for Alexandraparken, two concerts at the Cathedral, and one Storyville concert! These 10 concerts showcase that the festival's wide musical diversity doesn't compromise on either relevance or quality

With a cosmopolitan mix of salsa, jazz, and funk, the charismatic Cuban star Yeisy Rojas will create a warm and vibrant atmosphere in Alexandraparken on Wednesday evening before Dance With A Stranger.

On Tuesday evening, we'll have the legendary soul label Daptone Records' new venture, Thee Sacred Souls, delivering 60s soul infused with 70s groove and R&B. It will sound like a warm "summer breeze" over Alexandraparken this evening.

Atari, the band that recently found great success at Trondheim Calling, creates jazz-infused neosoul in a new way, where heavy beats meet feather-light melodies and exciting harmonies. Atari will be a perfect start to an evening that concludes with the Swedish power trio Dirty Loops. The YouTube phenomenon with millions of followers worldwide, known for their unique blend of jazz fusion, pop, and funk, continues to captivate audiences globally after their powerful debut in the 2010s.

On Friday evening in the park, we'll first have the Molde classic Araya Heep, followed by a visit from Prince's bassist and funk legend Ida Nielsen. A guaranteed festive evening in Alexandraparken! On Saturday, we expect the park to be buzzing when the audience favorite Blåsemafian returns, now with a successful debut album under their belt.

Ytre Suløens Jass-ensemble is coming to the festival for a much-anticipated concert in the Cathedral, where they will present a Mahalia Jackson program with American vocalist Tricia Boutté leading the way. On Friday evening, we'll have a magical meeting between violinist Hans P. Kjorstad and Dutch cellist Ernst Reijseger – an experience made for Molde Cathedral!

The acclaimed tenor saxophonist Marthe Lea, who has already played many jazz festivals across Europe, will come to Storyville with her band, combining spiritual jazz, folk music from several continents, and free forms in an exhilarating and completely unique musical mix.
