A genuine bass feast with funk and slap bass - a dream concert for all bass lovers!

Ida Nielsen was discovered by Prince in 2010 and began playing and touring with him in his band "The New Power Generation" and later in the band "3rdeyegirl." She remained in Prince's band until his passing in April 2016. Since then, she has focused on her solo career with her own band, Ida Nielsen & The Funkbots. Their music is a blend of Old School funk and hip-hop infused with pop from all corners of the world. It features catchy melodies and plenty of bass!

She describes her time with Prince as "a huge gift and the most magical musical journey ever, and an ongoing learning experience beyond all imagination."

Ida Nielsen has been featured on top 10 lists of the best bassists in the world, alongside other bassists like Stanley Clarke and Victor Wooten.

Ida Nielsen & The Funkbots deliver a complete funk show with everything that entails. Expect good vibes, tight grooves, and subtle references to Prince and other funk greats like Victor Wooten, Mark King, Marcus Miller, and Rhonda Smith! In other words, it's a true funk and bass celebration.

Araya Heep

Rocking Molde since 1981!

Araya Heep became a well-known name in the northwest region during the years 1981-1985 through countless concerts in the area. Due to studies, they disbanded in 1985, but the members continued playing. Guitarist Ramon Araya and bassist Fredrik Nilsen have followed each other almost constantly in bands like Made In Japan and Mølde. Vocalist Hans-Olav Solli (formerly Festival Director at Moldejazz) got a record deal in the USA in 1989 with Sons of Angels and has later released albums with the band Psycho Motel, alongside Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden, and 21 Guns - with Scott Gorham from Thin Lizzy.

In 2009, Araya Heep reunited with the three mentioned members from the 1980s, Araya, Nilsen, and Solli, in addition to guitarist Torbjørn Lund and drummer Hans Ove Blø from Pornflakes. The latter was later replaced by Adam Strange. Since 2009, the band has played many songs from bands Solli has been a part of, but in recent years, there has been a steady influx of newly written songs from Ramon Araya. These songs have been very well received by the audience, and Araya Heep in 2024 is in a creative boost that reflects in their live performances. The recent concerts have been packed and full of energy! An Araya Heep concert typically includes handpicked cover songs from bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and AC/DC. There is little doubt that in this band's musical disposition, one thing matters - rock n' roll!

Ramon Araya – guitar/vocals, Hans-Olav Solli – vocals, Torbjørn Lund – guitar/vocals, Fredrik Nilsen – bass, Adam Strange – drums
