Masåva made a breakthrough debut in 2018 with a Spellemann nomination for their self-titled debut album. Their follow-up album, "Er vi store nok nå?" (Are We Big Enough Now?), received positive reviews and was ranked as the 6th best album of 2021 by Gaffa.no. It has been described as a musical and lyrical treasure chest.
The thoughtful lyrics about humanity as a species and as individuals, belonging to an environment, and all-consuming love from a young mind hold a central place in their music and are highlighted in the alternately dreamy and more intense suggestive landscape. Masåva creates magic from everyday problems, dreams, sorrow, and love. Masåva writes songs in an original landscape between ballads, folk tunes, and jazz, where honest lyrics, catchy riffs, and gripping melodies can melt stone.
Now they are ready with new music, and the first single will be released in May.
