Veslemøy Narvesen (born 1997) is one of the most dynamic and promising voices on the Norwegian music scene today

In 2020, Narvesen was honored with the Oslo Jazz Festival's talent award, and the following year, she made a brilliant live debut with her own project. During the spring and summer of 2023, she released the groundbreaking singles "Sink" and "Time and Time Again" via Jazzland Recordings, and along with exclusive festival performances, this sent shockwaves through the Norwegian music scene. In September of the same year, "Andre Rom," her first Norwegian-language song, was released, followed by two critically acclaimed concerts during Bylarm in Oslo. The debut album, "We Don't Imagine Anymore," saw the light of day on October 13 and received enormous praise from the Norwegian music press. Aftenposten named it one of the year's best Norwegian albums, and Audun Vinger proclaimed it as "Autumn's finest Norwegian album" in Dagens Næringsliv. NRK-Lindmo also caught the interest and had Veslemøy and her band visit in connection with the album release.

With a broad spectrum of musical impulses, including Nordic jazz and dialect songs, Veslemøy Narvesen creates music that not only challenges but also grabs the listener fearlessly. Her unique and diverse contributions to the Norwegian jazz scene, where pop and improvisation merge in sophisticated harmony, are presented by the singing drummer Veslemøy Narvesen and her fellow musicians, who together create magic in real-time. This is an artist you won't want to miss on the road to the future of music.

At Moldejazz, she will perform no less than two concerts under her own name, one with her band, a brilliant sextet, and a solo concert at a yet undisclosed location specially created for Moldejazz. This will be an experience!
