The Good Times

We’ll hear the story of the caterpillar that turns into a butterfly, the bumblebee Bombus, and a song about grandma and her knitting needles. The lyrics explore themes of connection to nature and being present in the moment.

In addition to Bendik Ulla, the band includes Arne Torvik, known for his work with the Arne Torvik Trio; Espen Bjarnar Gjermo, who plays in the bluegrass trio Open String Department; and Sindre Klykken, a member of Bech & Skeidsvoll New Orleans Band and a regular performer at Teatret Vårt. The quartet plays acoustic folk-pop with playful rhythms and clever twists, appealing to both children and adults alike.

As a solo artist, Bendik has released two albums. He is also part of the critically acclaimed band Mandarinsaft, which was nominated for a Spellemann Award for their two most recent releases. The audience will also get a taste of a couple of new songs from Bendik’s upcoming children’s album, set to release next year.
