Mariann Bjørnelv new festival director
Mariann Bjørnelv has been hired as the new festival director at Moldejazz, starting March 1st, 2021
Mariann Bjørnelv is taking over the position as festival director at Moldejazz on March 1st 2021. Leaving here position as general manager of the student house Folken in Stavanger behind, which she has held for over 7 years.
Previously she´s also been the general manager of STAR, Rogaland's competence center for rhythmic music. She is a board member of Norwegian Concert Organizers and a lecturer for Norwegian Live Music Association in the topics of volunteering, personnel, organization and finance. Today she also holds various roles in the Mablis-festival, Skral Festival and has worked with a number of other festivals. She has a bachelor's degree in hotel and financial management and a general degree in music in addition to university studies in culture and management. Through her work and as a performing musician, she has gained a large network and broad experience in the field.
