Minister of Health and Care Services Jan Christian Vestre to Officially Open Moldejazz
Moldejazz is delighted to announce that Jan Christian Vestre, Norway's Minister of Health and Care Services, will officially open this year's festival.
“We are delighted to welcome the Minister to Molde. Culture and health go hand in hand. Through music and shared experiences, we create opportunities for community, joy and reflection – some of the most important building blocks of public health,” says Festival Director Linda Melsom.
Moldejazz is an important meeting place where people come together across different backgrounds and experiences, with music creating a sense of community and opening up new perspectives. Each year, audiences, volunteers and artists from around the world create unforgettable moments together.
The opening ceremony will take place in Alexandraparken on 13 July 2026 at 11:30, marking the beginning of a week filled with outstanding musical experiences in the heart of Molde.
