– a family performance with Kouame Sereba.
Adventure, song, dance and music from West Africa. Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Sereba sings and tells fairytales using various African instruments. He also invites the audience to join – with voice, hands and feet.
When meeting children, Sereba has a rare ability to engage. He is a mediator of rank and has hundreds of school concerts for children and youth on his resume.
Kouame Sereba has played an active role in Norwegian music life for over 30 years, ever since he moved to Norway from his homeland Ivory Coast in West Africa in 1983. In addition to solo projects, he collaborates with musicians in many different genres such as jazz, folk- and contemporary music, as well as modern African music. Sereba sings and performs on several instruments such as djembe (African drum), dodo (mouthbow) and kalimba (thumb piano).
