21-year-old Maverick Sabre can safely be described as a comet in the new British soul movement.
With his very characteristic voice, his debut album Lonely Are The Brave went straight in at no. 2 on the UK album list in mid February. Sabre has been described as this year's big hope for English music, and BBC1's Huw Stephens has dubbed him "a male Amy Winehouse". Maverick Sabre has strong connections to the hip hop scene, and has featured on tracks by Professor Green and Chase & Status.
